Workshops and Sessions in Schools, Nurseries, Pre-Schools and EHE
Magical Music Sessions for Nurseries & Pre-Schools
Storybook Wiggle and Sing is a joyful, engaging music class designed especially for early years settings and fully aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
These sessions are more than just singing time — they are carefully structured learning experiences where children explore, imagine, move and grow through music.
What Happens in a Session?
Real Instruments
Children experience the sound and feel of real instruments — not just toy versions. They listen closely, explore different tones, and sometimes help to play along. This builds curiosity, concentration and a deep love of music from an early age.
Beautiful Puppets & Storytelling
Our much-loved puppets help bring stories and songs to life. They capture attention instantly and gently encourage even the quietest children to join in.
Traditional Rhymes & Bespoke Songs
We sing familiar nursery rhymes alongside original Storybook Wiggle and Sing songs written especially for little learners. Together, these support:
Communication and language development
Listening and attention skills
Rhythm and early phonics awareness
Memory and sequencing
Confidence and self-expression
A Little Wiggle, A Lot of Singing
We move gently, use actions and explore musical games — but singing is always at the heart of what we do. Children learn best when they are engaged, and our sessions are filled with energy, warmth and smiles.
Supporting the EYFS
Every Storybook Wiggle and Sing session is thoughtfully planned to support key areas of learning, including:
Communication and Language
Personal, Social and Emotional Development
Physical Development
Expressive Arts and Design
Music naturally develops turn-taking, listening, coordination, imagination and confidence — all within a fun, shared experience.

Home Education Classes (EHE)
At The Story Kitchen, we offer hands-on, interactive and creative sessions designed especially for home-educated children. Our classes combine reading, storytelling and cooking, helping children explore stories in a fun and practical way.
We welcome mixed age groups and tailor each session to suit the children attending, rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. This allows every child to participate, learn and enjoy the experience at their own level.
Our sessions also provide a valuable opportunity for home-educated students to socialise with their peers while working alongside our friendly and supportive team.
Alongside encouraging a love of books and storytelling, we believe that cooking is an important life skill. Through our classes, children gain confidence in the kitchen, learn new skills and discover the joy of creating something delicious together.
If this is something you would be interested in, or if you are part of a home education group that would like to arrange a session, we would love to hear from you.
